Water Treatment Specialist

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Water Treatment Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our Liquid Industrial Waste Systems (LIWS) and Water Treatment (WATR) systems. This position involves working closely with engineering teams and other operational technicians to ensure efficient wastewater treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to maintain and troubleshoot LIWS and WATR systems.
- Operate and maintain industrial wastewater treatment and purification systems, including biological treatment systems.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on all relevant equipment.
- Use quality management systems and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve process issues.
- Utilize Maximo Maintenance planning software for scheduling and documentation of maintenance tasks.
- Collect liquid and solid samples, performing routine laboratory tests to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with factory teams, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a safety role model and participate in the Emergency Response Team as required.
- Work on a compressed schedule, alternating between three- and four-day workweeks, including some weekend and holiday shifts.
- Perform work primarily outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in wastewater treatment systems or similar industrial systems.
- Familiarity with biological treatment processes and laboratory testing methods.
- Proficient in Maximo or similar maintenance planning software.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve process issues.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Willingness to work a compressed schedule and in outdoor environments.
- 3-5 years industry experience required.
