About the Role

Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Front Line Leadership team, you will be responsible for the safety of our Team Members and the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with Team Members regularly to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities, and coordination between shifts.
  • Assist the Value Stream Manager in creating continuous product flow, utilizing pull systems, and leveling workload.
  • Ensure standardized work and processes are followed, and needed adjustments are implemented.
  • Maintain a positive team atmosphere, holding regular team meetings and assigning tasks and coordinating support activities.
  • Provide effective cross-training for Value Stream associates and backups from other value streams.
  • Encourage teams to stop and fix problems to achieve quality right the first time.
  • Work with the Value Stream Manager to develop the future state value stream map and manage plans to achieve it.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience leading manufacturing teams.
  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
