Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech and language assessment, treatment, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals and provide training and support on speech and language development.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of all services provided, including progress monitoring and treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy and adhere to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Code of Ethics.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure and Certification: North Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
