Certified Nursing Assistant Medical Telemetry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Telemetry team at St. James Hospital in Butte, Montana. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with various healthcare needs.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, feeding, and ambulation.
- Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, obtaining vital signs, and communicating effectively with the care team.
- Perform 12-lead EKG duties and maintain patient charts.
- Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies.
- Perform the duties of unit secretary, including responding to phone calls and maintaining daily assignment boards.
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Montana.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification.
This role requires ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy is also required.
This role also requires expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
