Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advises the organization on community needs and assists in program development, including staffing and financial requirements.
  2. Collaboratively formulates and updates policies for new initiatives.
  3. Ensures adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding agency marketing.
  4. Guides program direction through effective collaboration and delegation to administrative and supervisory staff.
  5. Implements a public relations strategy to promote the agency's services and cultivate positive relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations.
  6. Under RN supervision, aids in assessing patients' physical, psychological, and environmental needs based on documentation and evaluations.
  7. Contributes to care planning and execution alongside the RN, following the Plan of Care (POC).
  8. Delivers care while adhering to infection control protocols to safeguard both staff and patients.
  9. Ensures continuity of care through high-quality patient services.
  10. Facilitates effective communication with patients, families, team members, and other healthcare professionals, as evidenced by clinical documentation.
  11. Monitors assigned cases to verify compliance with third-party payer requirements.
  12. Exhibits a commitment to professional development and skill enhancement.
  13. Promotes the agency's philosophy and administrative policies to maintain care quality.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Graduate from an accredited vocational nursing program.
  2. Licensure: Valid Texas State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, along with a current Texas Driver's License and auto insurance meeting company standards.
  3. Experience: Minimum of one year in a clinical care setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is required.
  4. Experience in marketing is preferred.
  5. Home health experience is advantageous.
Skills: Proficient nursing skills as per established standards of practice; strong interpersonal abilities.

Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance that complies with company policy.

Working Environment:

Operates in patients' homes under varying conditions; must provide proof of current CPR certification and Hepatitis immunization; potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases; flexibility in scheduling and local travel is required; may encounter adverse weather conditions; availability for emergency calls on an as-needed basis.

Physical Requirements:

Requires prolonged standing and walking, with the capability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients. Must work under some stress to meet deadlines and patient needs, making prompt decisions and resource allocations; ability to address individualized psychosocial needs of patients and families. Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Special Considerations: Must exercise discretion, tact, and courtesy when interacting with diverse audiences at various organizational levels while maintaining professionalism with both internal and external stakeholders.
