Position Summary:
The Department of Psychology at Providence College is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in psychology, with a focus on quantitative research methodologies. Those who are ABD and will complete their degree by the start date are also encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants must exhibit a strong commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrate a dedication to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion both within and outside the classroom environment.

The area of research is flexible but should allow for undergraduate involvement, with a particular interest in candidates specializing in cognitive psychology.

Candidates should anticipate teaching two sections of research methods and statistics annually, in addition to courses in their area of expertise.

The typical teaching load consists of 9 credit hours per semester, with class sizes ranging from 15 to 25 students.
