Job Title: Assistant Security Manager Shopping Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Security Manager to join our team at Allied Universal. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Account Manager with all supervisory, training, and operations functions at the assigned post.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the coordination of all aspects of executing the security contract at the assigned location.
  • Assign work tasks to Security Professionals and direct their work throughout the day.
  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and train Security Professionals.
  • Evaluate the work performance of Security Professionals and make recommendations regarding assignments.
  • Ensure that Post Order manual and all other post and training information is being properly maintained and updated.
  • Assist the Account Manager in conducting interviews and evaluating new employees.
  • Conduct on-the-job training of new employees assigned to post.
  • Oversee all reports, logs, and pass downs generated by and for the Security Department.
  • Manage and supervise all sub-units within the Security Department.
  • Respond to minor incidents and ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Identify and forward any personnel problems occurring at posts to the Account Manager or Field Supervisor.
  • Make recommendations for counseling and/or disciplinary action.
  • Respond to client or site emergencies and maintain positive client/security relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three to five years of professional-level experience required.
  • Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, and/or military required.
  • Valid state Guard License required.
  • Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple competing assignments.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to effectively resolve client issues.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to train and coach others and enforce post orders, security standards, and company policies equitably and consistently.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
