Responsibilities:- Participate in the intake process and contribute to decision-making.
- Evaluate goals for placement in collaboration with D.C.F.S. workers.
- Manage and supervise a caseload of children in placement at the group home or Transitional Living Program and ILO.
- Participate in Administrative Case Reviews (ACRs), attend court hearings, and maintain liaison with D.C.F.S. staff.
- Assist in screening natural/foster parents to ensure they meet visitation requirements and minimize exposure to potential abusive experiences.
- Recommend termination of children and maintain required records.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Clinical Program Director, including supervision of Child Welfare Workers.
- Coordinate with community agencies to carry out treatment plans.
- Provide direct services as indicated in treatment plans.
- Provide support, counseling, and education to clients to assist them in achieving their goals.
- Assist clients in accessing available benefits and services.
- Utilize motivational interviewing and provide appropriate mental health interventions.
- Maintain all applicable professional, legal, and ethical standards, including confidentiality, dual relations, and informed consent.
- Provide clinical documentation, reports, and records to meet State, Federal, Regional, and departmental standards and requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Criminal Justice.
- Child Welfare Employee Licensing Board (CWEL) certification by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
- At least two years of experience in Child Welfare or field work experience in this field.
