Early Learning Professional Supervisory Coach

At YWCA Kalamazoo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Learning Professional Supervisory Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training and mentorship to Early Learning Professionals to ensure program compliance with YWCA program policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist children in daily activities, including toileting, personal hygiene, dressing, and eating.
- Provide daily/weekly coaching to ELP-1's to organize and implement age-appropriate learning activities for assigned classrooms.
- Supervise children's activities to ensure safety, promote socialization, and enjoyment of children attending the facility.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing agencies, and community partners.
- Participate in mealtime activities with children to encourage good eating habits, good table manners, conversation, and clean-up.
- Accompany and supervise children on field trips.
- Commit to self-education on anti-bias education, racial justice, and gender equity issues.
- Monitor health status of children for illness or areas of concern and report findings to the Associate Director.
- Clean up after activities.
- Observe all Children's Center and YWCA policies and procedures.
- Agree to participate/support ELPs in 4 hours of classroom training and admin weekly.
- Agree to participate in 3 hours of in-classroom coaching weekly with the Associate Director.
- Comply with applicable local, state, and federal licensing requirements/certification and/or regulations.
- Comply with association policy regarding required reporting of child abuse.
- Safeguard confidential information gained as a result of the position.
- Work cooperatively with program participants, YWCA staff, and volunteers.

- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually Moderate-Loud.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 60 pounds or frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds or continually lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
