Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Primary Care Specialist role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver primary and nursing care in collaboration with the Practice Site Physician.
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform a complete physical exam and record findings, collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures, synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
- Administer medications and injections according to physician direction, suturing minor lacerations.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, recommending community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions, maintaining and reviewing patient records, charts, and other pertinent information.
- Triaging patient telephone calls and providing consultation, coordinating or managing medical and surgical emergencies.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Master's of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Attainment of prescriptive authority or successful completion of applicable course work and pass state board exam to obtain prescriptive authority within six months of hire date.
- Bilingual speaking and/or writing skills are a plus.
The successful candidate will work in a clinic environment requiring physical exertion, frequent changes in job demands, certain undesirable patient care activities, and exposure to biohazards.
Physical DemandsThe position requires the physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position, including walking/standing for prolonged periods, pushing carts/wheelchairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and providing CPR.
