Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
At Intermountain Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasound images and obtaining accurate measurements for each exam. You will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and cooperation during the examination process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality ultrasound images and obtain accurate measurements for each exam.
- Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation.
- Document all applicable patient and procedure data consistently and correctly.
- Obtain and evaluate pertinent patient history and physical findings that may affect the sonographic examination.
- Explain procedures adequately to patients to maximize patient comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor during all phases of procedure with special care taken to insure patient emotional and physical well-being.
- Communicate patient information in a professional and courteous manner to patients and to referring physician offices as required.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography program, required
- Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list, required:
- Registry-eligible
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification with Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), required
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential
- Minimum of two (2) years of related sonography experience, required
