Position Summary
As an Actuarial Associate at Alfa Insurance, you will engage in significant responsibilities that contribute to the actuarial functions of the organization. Collaborating with the Life Operations team and liaising with various departments, you will play a key role in the analysis and design of Alfa Life products. Our Actuarial Associates are dedicated to the success and profitability of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee various aspects of actuarial tasks, potentially serving as the primary resource in critical areas such as product development or financial reporting.
- Conduct independent projects that support the overall health of Alfa Life.
- Utilize Axis software and Excel spreadsheets to assist in product development, certification of illustration actuaries, product management, and illustration verification.
- Execute and review analytical work related to mortality, investments, lapses, expenses, and other experience analyses.
- Adapt to new tasks with minimal supervision.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Recognized for expertise in actuarial science, the company, and the broader industry.
- Advance through actuarial examinations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
- A Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science is advantageous.
- ASA designation is mandatory.
- Four years of actuarial experience is preferred.
- Experience with actuarial projection software, ideally GGY-Axis, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently is essential.
- Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills, along with progress in actuarial examinations, are expected.
