POSITION OVERVIEW

NKC of America Inc. is in search of a proficient and seasoned Metal Fabrication Specialist to enhance our workforce.

The primary duties encompass the interpretation of welding symbols and terminology, compliance with NKC and quality assurance protocols, and executing precise welding in accordance with outlined specifications. A keen eye for detail is essential for upholding dimensional precision and ensuring that materials conform to designated angles, degrees, and radii. The perfect candidate will demonstrate a dedication to superior craftsmanship and an anticipatory approach to troubleshooting.

KEY DUTIES

  • Operate various machinery such as Brake Press, Drill Press, Hydraulic Press, Arbor Press, Tapping tools, Portable Plasma, Cutting Torch, Welding machine, Shear, Saws, Pipe Bending equipment, and Roll Mill.
  • Comprehend welding symbols and terminology to perform welding in line with specifications and quality assurance standards.
  • Design and establish Jigs and Fixtures for Production ensuring precision according to technical drawings.
  • Verify that all dimensions and materials are accurate prior to welding.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Interpret blueprints and adhere to work procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical Training and Proficiency in Welding.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Fitter with Machinery and Fabrication Tools.
  • Background in Manufacturing and Job Shop environments.
  • Experience with Conveyor Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
