Job Title: Production Superintendent

Job Summary:
Pilgrim's Pride Corporation is a leading employer in the chicken processing industry, with a presence in 14 states, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. As a Production Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of production/processing supervisors to meet established processing and quality control standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to control budget and costs, and to provide data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products produced.
  • Establish short-term activities directed toward processing continuity and balance, including shift schedules, material requisition, machine loading, grievance resolution, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate and integrate with other plant function areas to ensure support in attaining output, productivity, and quality.
  • Select, organize, train, and motivate processing labor force to ensure consistent attainment of processing schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels.
  • Recommend improvements in processing flow or methods, and ensure effective use of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and to improve product quality.
  • Promote a safe working environment for employees and coordinate working relations between USDA and plant personnel.

Requirements:
  • Typically requires 2 to 5 years of directly related experience.
  • High School Diploma (GED) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
