About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our Aviation Studio in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering complex aviation projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out complex assignments, applying advanced architectural concepts and designs, independently.
  • Participate in major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects with complex features, serving as a team expert.
  • Provide professional architectural consultation in planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
  • Meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for structures, preparing specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals.
  • Own finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction, reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy, providing technical guidance, and leading discipline teams or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects.
  • Perform quality control reviews, ensuring achievement of key milestones, and performing field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
  • Maintain professional registration and licensure, ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements.
  • Supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 7+ years of design experience, including working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects, and providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff.
  • Registered Architect in good standing, NCARB certification is a plus, or the ability to obtain architectural registration in multiple states is desired.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with multidiscipline design teams.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong architectural design and construction document development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated Revit BIM production capability and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management experience.
  • LEED Accredited Professional.
  • Visualization and graphics capabilities (Photoshop or others).
