Job Title: Advanced Practice Professional - Radiation Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Professional to join our Radiation Oncology team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive and individualized care for patients undergoing radiation therapy in the ambulatory setting and/or inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage comprehensive and individualized care for patients and their families undergoing radiation therapy
  • Complete daily rounds, consults, and pre-treatment evaluations in radiation oncology
  • Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests following established clinical guidelines and scope of practice
  • Consult and communicate with clinic and hospital staff regarding abnormal findings in patient evaluations
  • Develop a comprehensive individualized plan of care for radiation oncology patients, including acute management, teaching, and necessary referrals
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with master's degree in nursing
  • National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OCN or AOCN certification preferred
