Job Summary

StateServ is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in a Dispensing and Operations role. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Review and Verification: Review all patient medication orders for clinical appropriateness and complete applicable inpatient unit order entry.
  • Dispensing and Inventory Management: Provide oversight of dispensing, ordering, and restocking of medications for the inpatient hospice unit, where applicable. Perform final verification of all patient-specific medication orders for accuracy.
  • Third-Party Shipping and Receiving: Verify and review third-party shipping vendor and pharmacy courier deliveries prior to shipment.
  • Performance Improvement: Support established performance goals for all staff, including minimization and reduction of any and all errors (dispensing/data entry/restock).
  • Customer Service and Relations: Assist in maintaining extreme customer service and client relations.
  • Practice Document Development: Build and maintain practice documents for all established clients and responsibilities to aid in the training of new employees.
  • Inventory Management and Replenishment: Maintain inventory per financial and strategic guidelines. Oversee inventory replenishment and order pharmacy product supplies as needed (in conjunction with Lead Technician), including ongoing hospice inpatient and unit dispense machine inventory replenishment, where applicable.
  • Formulary and Inventory Reviews: Assist the Pharmacy Manager with routine formulary and inventory reviews for inpatient unit facilities.
  • Supply Coordination and Maintenance: Coordinate effective inventory of labels, vials, and other supplies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee and coordinate proper maintenance of related departmental equipment.
  • Conflict Resolution and Mediation: Assist Pharmacy Manager in mediation when staff conflict arises, when requested.
  • Culture and Compliance: Foster and maintain a positive work culture/environment. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Intellectual Property and Data Protection: Protects company's intellectual property and the privacy of customers' and patients' data.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
