Overview

The Senior Accountant is tasked with executing monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables (Journal Entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Financial Statement Variance Analysis) in adherence to GAAP standards. This role will also serve as a key point of contact for intercompany accounting, invoicing, and support. Under the mentorship of the Assistant Controller and Accounting Team, this individual will contribute to the standardization of intercompany management and clearing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a creative mindset and a proactive, hands-on approach. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from peers to become a subject matter expert are essential for continuously enhancing existing processes. The ability to adapt and assist with various accounting and finance projects related to current portfolio companies and new acquisitions will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee general accounting functions including the Month-End Close Process, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Financial Statement Analysis to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, adjustments, prepaids, leases, loans, fixed assets, internal and external technology costs, management fees, revenue recognition, and other relevant items for the Rebill Center and Portfolio Companies.
  • Manage intercompany clearing and reconciliation, fostering relationships with and providing assistance to accounting leads from other Portfolio Companies within the network.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations for ad hoc projects to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Develop Accounting/Finance personnel and encourage knowledge sharing with other departments to standardize and enhance workflows.
  • Assist the team with processing invoices, expense reports, and other necessary tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant financial analysis, audit, or accounting experience (previous experience in intercompany accounting is advantageous).
  • Experience with Big 4 or regional public accounting firms is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles with CPA certification preferred, though not required.
  • High emotional intelligence with the capability to build partnerships across departments and portfolios.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining flexibility and organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, D365, and NetSuite is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to produce work accurately and promptly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Career-oriented with a desire for advancement.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting is required.
Compensation:
  • Compensation is determined by various factors, including skillset, qualifications/certifications, experience level, and geographic location.
  • The expected annualized base compensation range for this role is between $90k - $115k. Please note this range is an estimate and actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience.
