Rigger Specialist

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for setting up and repairing rigging for the movement of heavy equipment. This role requires excellent spatial awareness, good communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of rigging equipment.

• Inspecting and Preparing Loads: Ensure that loads are properly inspected and prepared for movement.
• Setting, Aligning, and Leveling Heavy Equipment Machinery: Set up and align heavy equipment machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Selecting Appropriate Rigging Gear: Choose the correct rigging gear for each job to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Preparing Rigging Equipment: Prepare rigging equipment, including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts, for use on the job site.
• Inspecting Rigging Before Final Use: Inspect rigging equipment before final use to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Monitoring and Maintaining Rigging Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
• Maneuvering Loads: Safely maneuver loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
• Ensuring Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure compliance with state and company safety procedures at all times.
• Communicating with the Rigging and Construction Team: Communicate effectively with the rigging and construction team to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

• High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ Years of Experience as a Rigger: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Rigger is required.
• NCCCO Certification: A minimum Level 1 NCCCO certification is required.
• Familiarity with OSHA Safety Standards: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards is required.
• In-Depth Knowledge of Rigging Equipment: In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery is required.
• Excellent Hearing and Vision: Excellent hearing and vision are required.
• Ability to Work at Heights: Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments is required.
• Physical Fitness: Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment are required.

• Lifting and Relocating: Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
• Working at Heights: Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
• Physical Demands: Ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Vision and Hearing: Good vision (may be corrected vision), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
