Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and oversee Technicians and Lab Assistants in the execution of surveying instrumentation, planning, scheduling, and procedural training.
  • Manage radiation exposure control and radioactive waste programs to support Operation and Maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and state standards.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Protection colleagues across the Constellation fleet and regulatory bodies regarding the implementation of the Radiation Protection program.
  • Supervise daily operations, providing guidance and coaching to direct reports to maintain a productive workforce in line with company policies.
  • Oversee the functional Radiation rotation program at PowerLabs, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) exposure levels for nuclear workers.
  • Facilitate effective communication regarding company programs, announcements, and policies.
  • Be accountable for managing performance metrics related to contaminated areas and personnel contamination incidents.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in radiation protection within a nuclear reactor environment.
  • Successful completion of core supervisory and management training programs.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in health physics or a related field.
