Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our team at Virgin Galactic. As a key member of our flight test operations team, you will be responsible for leading ground and flight test activities, ensuring the safe and effective operation of our flight test vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ground test and flight test activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and schedules in collaboration with engineering and project teams.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and flight operations teams to ensure seamless test execution.
  • Provide daily reports on vehicle progress and test results, and update flight logs and test documentation as required.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, configurations, and displays, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in aerospace.
  • At least 10 years of experience in flight test and aerospace, with a strong background in test planning, execution, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of flight test and aerospace regulations, including FAA and NASA requirements.
  • Experience with configuration management, risk management, and requirements management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Test Pilot School graduate or flight test course work.
  • Hands-on flight test experience.
  • General understanding of aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
