Job Summary
In this capacity, you will deliver exceptional nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to various age groups while incorporating family-centered principles and cost-effective practices.

We require a professional who can gather and interpret data from medical records to effectively coordinate patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document comprehensive assessments of patients and their families, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs systematically.
  • Evaluate situations, foresee potential challenges, and identify changes in patient conditions.
  • Adjust and refine care plans based on new insights and alterations in patient status, ensuring clear communication with the healthcare team and accurate documentation.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions, maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Support patients and families in their roles within the care plan as appropriate.
  • Assess learning needs, capabilities, preferences, and readiness to learn prior to providing education.
  • Exhibit effective interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer and document medications and treatments promptly.
  • Show a commitment to acquiring new knowledge and skills to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving unit performance.
Qualifications
All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any recommended booster doses, unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, associate's degree, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program, or an associate's degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills, effective time and resource management, flexibility, strong communication abilities, and knowledge of nursing processes, critical thinking, PALS, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
