About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychologist to join our team at TEEMA. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing expert assessments and evaluations to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the criminal justice system and be able to provide accurate assessments and evaluations. You will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments and evaluations of individuals involved in the criminal justice system, as well as providing expert testimony in court proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Psychological Assessments: Conduct thorough and comprehensive psychological assessments of individuals involved in the criminal justice system to determine their mental health status and risk levels.
- Provide Expert Testimony: Provide expert testimony in court proceedings to assist judges and juries in making informed decisions about defendants' competency and risk levels.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Develop effective treatment plans for individuals in the criminal justice system based on their individual needs and circumstances.
- Provide Consultation Services: Provide consultation services to criminal justice professionals to help them better understand the mental health needs of individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
- Conduct Research: Conduct research on criminal behavior and the criminal justice system to stay up-to-date on best practices and improve our services.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree: Hold a doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Be licensed as a psychologist in the state of Washington.
- Experience: Have experience working in the criminal justice system.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and courts.
- Research Skills: Have strong research and analytical skills to conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments and evaluations.
