We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Specimen Coordinator to join our team at New England Tissue Issue. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and sorting patient requisitions, identifying and interpreting data, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and sort patient requisitions, and identify and interpret data to be entered into the information system.
- Research available websites for missing patient insurance information and contact referring physicians' office for missing patient demographics or insurance information.
- Adhere to CAP, CLIA, State Regulations, HIPAA, Safety and OSHA Regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
- Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Skill in using computer programs and applications.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
ConfidentialityThis role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards.
