Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Kelly. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and controlling inventory of finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factors mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate physical inventories, cycle counting, surplus obsolete, engineering changes, cancellation activities, projected usage, and other inventory planning/reduction activities.
  • Analyze stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
  • Correct inventory system errors that could affect replenishment systems, financial position, credibility, or overall operation.
  • Verify inventory accuracy, take cycle counts, control inventory levels by changing reorder points and par levels to meet changing demands.
  • Troubleshoot immediate inventory inaccuracies, audit sales order location discrepancies, and implement permanent resolutions.
  • Audit warehouse locations, especially problem inbound/outbound staging locations, and develop reports to keep service management aware of potential trends, shortages, back orders, and status of service parts as required.
  • Communicate with supervisor, vendors, staff to resolve any problems and/or concerns, and provide information and assistance for inventory policies and/or procedures.
