Power Electronics Engineer

Join SpaceX, a pioneering company in space technology, as a Power Electronics Engineer. Our team is responsible for designing and developing advanced power electronics systems for our spacecraft, including the Starship.
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of our electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, electrical engineering, and experience with DC-DC power converter development.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop DC-DC power converters for harsh environments
- Work on electrical power system and sub-system level design trades and develop requirements
- Define and perform electrical power system verification testing and analysis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create new power electronics hardware
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 1+ years of experience in power converter development
- Strong grasp of analog control and discrete logic design
- Experience with AC-DC converters and power factor correction
- Understanding of design for fault tolerance and reliability
