Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. The successful candidate will work with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, helping them regain confidence and independence.

About the Role

This is a PRN position, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing interventions to maximize safety and performance in everyday tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client needs and develop tailored treatment plans to support engagement in occupations that impact health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct intervention processes.
  • Implement interventions to enhance client safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Teach clients new strategies for approaching tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into manageable components.
  • Assess client home environments and advise on necessary alterations to accommodate their needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training on its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers to support client care.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress, including long- and short-term treatment goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to manage patients with diverse personalities.
  • A valid license to practice occupational therapy and a BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
