Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining property, plant, and equipment in a productive, efficient, and safe manner. This will involve inspecting, servicing, and repairing machinery, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain industrial equipment, including machinery and mobile equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and minor repairs
  • Document and report maintenance work performed, including future requirements
  • Participate in and contribute to the company's safety program
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including site cleanup

Requirements:

  • Education: One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred
  • Experience: Two years related work experience
  • License/Certification: N/A

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in hydraulics, electrical, pumps, valves, and welding
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
  • Basic mechanical knowledge in the wood industry preferred
  • Experience in fabrication and welding of various metals, including pipe welding
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings
  • Strong communication skills
