Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the accounting department's operations, including designing an organizational structure that aligns with the department's objectives.
  • Generate financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and necessary reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and oversee internal control measures.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting standards.
  • Direct the preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts, while implementing and monitoring financial control systems.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Guarantee timely and precise payroll processing.
  • Engage in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior leadership.
  • Oversee accounts receivable activities to ensure accurate and timely management of all aging components.
  • Coordinate accounts payable functions to ensure prompt payment of all company invoices.
  • Monitor banking activities and conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the logistics team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a senior capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end closing processes, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Experience with Great Plains software is a plus.
  • Proven track record as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle large datasets and compile detailed reports.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  • Well-versed in current financial topics, accounting standards, tax regulations, and business environments.
