Job Description

Pathways Baptist Church in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Financial Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess excellent accounting and financial record-keeping skills, with experience in managing online and paper check billpays, downloading, matching, and reconciling online financial transactions, and sending invoices for building use events.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial record-keeping, reconciliation, and reporting duties in the office.
  • Assist with event planning, building use agreements, and facilities use coordination.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Occasionally assist campus renters with administrative needs.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • File receipts and invoices that have been paid.
  • Assist with contract negotiations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a church office or small business administrative setting.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks online and proficiency in data entry and file management.
  • Strong proofreading skills for written communications.
  • Excellent team player skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and membership database management software.
