About the Role

Bank of China Limited, New York Branch is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Financial Markets and Technology Associate. This role will be responsible for assisting in the management of related risk management systems, including supporting the maintenance of IT systems, ensuring proper data management and user access controls according to the Bank's policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Management: Perform tasks in supporting the maintenance of related information and management systems, including assisting in maintaining proper user access controls of related systems according to the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Data Maintenance: Assist in ensuring the correctness and accuracy of business and risk data according to the Bank's policies and procedures, including data maintenance of risk control systems.
  • Risk Control: Monitor and control related risks in the global markets and treasury business, including investigating violations and irregularities and ensuring any breach of the risk limits are properly addressed, reported and documented.
  • Reporting: Prepare routine reports and support the production of ad hoc business and risk analysis reports to the management and Head Office, including preparing risk warning reports and collecting market information and reporting to the head of department when deemed necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position at the time of hiring.
  • Internship experience in financial market business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial market products (Foreign exchange, money market, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Swap, Repo, etc...) is required and related risk management is preferred.
  • Familiarity in Bloomberg and other platforms is preferred.
  • Experience related to SQL, VBA, Python is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities in both English and Chinese are highly preferred.
