Position: CDL Class A Driver

Shift: 1st shift - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday starting at 5:00 AM

Compensation: $33.75 per hour

Company Overview: Factor_, a brand under HelloFresh, is in search of a reliable and systematic Class A truck operator who demonstrates exceptional physical and mental endurance to ensure precise and safe deliveries. Attention to detail and efficiency are crucial in this role. The position will require approximately 60% - 70% of the time to engage in forklift operations and assist with general warehouse tasks during slower periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize lift trucks or hand trucks to safely transport materials to designated areas in a timely manner.
  • Manage the processing of incoming goods and supplies to support production/storage for our customer base.
  • Verify the accuracy, quality, and safety of received items by adhering to established company protocols for inspecting both the vehicle and materials.
  • Notify the department supervisor of any defective materials or concerning conditions.
  • Report any food safety and quality issues to authorized personnel.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety, GMP, and SQF regulations.
  • Prepare pallets for shipment through shrink wrapping, either manually or using automated systems.
  • Comprehend and safely operate your assigned delivery vehicle.
  • Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 26,000 lbs.
  • Tow weights surpassing 10,000 lbs.
  • Ensure secure attachment of the trailer hitch to the tractor unit.
  • Collect signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and finalize deliveries.
  • Follow a predetermined route to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance on vehicles as required (refueling, oil changes, tire pressure checks, repairs, etc.).
  • Abide by all relevant traffic laws and adjust driving according to weather and road conditions.
  • Utilize internal freight monitoring systems as needed.

  • Disciplined, reliable, and resourceful.
  • Exhibits a high level of composure and effective stress management.
  • Available for flexible shifts to accommodate freight operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Class A driver's license required.
  • At least 2 years of proven and verifiable experience in tractor-trailer driving.
  • Proficient in operating large vehicles.
  • Comfortable with maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer.
  • Able to operate electric lifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Skilled in using GPS and other routing technologies.
  • Forklift experience is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in material handling.
  • Primarily sedentary work; involves sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement around the workplace may be necessary.
  • Regular interaction with computers, including keyboards and screens.
  • Frequent use of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in cold temperatures and refrigerated settings (35 degrees Fahrenheit).
