Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Operations Leader oversees the daily functions within the facility. This role is crucial for managing the manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient assembly of high-quality products, timely delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proven track record of achieving sustainable and exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are met.
  • Lead production initiatives focused on continuous improvement.
  • Report on labor efficiency and machine utilization to management.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for supervisory roles.
  • Uphold standards related to production, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and oversee 5S housekeeping practices on the production floor.
  • Assist in identifying and eliminating downtime through 8D corrective actions.
  • Proactively resolve conflicts and problems.
  • Exhibit a positive management style and engage in various meetings.
  • Direct and supervise Team Leaders and production staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of production schedules.
  • Implement and uphold safe work practices and manage plant emergencies.
  • Oversee the training and development of supervisors, Team Leaders, and Technicians in both sociological and technological aspects of their roles.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Quality Control standards and enhance the company’s reputation as a quality manufacturer.
  • Communicate effectively with all employees to foster understanding and collaboration.
  • Manage personnel to cultivate a high level of trust and integrity within the team.
  • Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement that will enhance plant profitability.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Recent experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to achieve results through others.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and budgetary controls.
  • High level of professionalism, organizational skills, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Able to motivate and delegate effectively to subordinate personnel.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with new program launches is required.
