Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Product Photographer to join our Marketing and Creative Operations team at Design Within Reach. As a Product Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images of our furniture and accessories, working closely with our art director, content producers, and prop manager to meet daily productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shoot silo photography of various products daily, meeting or exceeding daily productivity levels
  • Shoot product detail videos when requested
  • Ensure all imagery meets high-quality and print and digital standards
  • Ensure lighting and camera equipment is set to company standards
  • Execute quality control (QC) of all work before uploading to asset management systems, including naming, cropping, and color processing
  • Ensure workflows and processes are properly followed
  • Pilot new processes and initiatives and provide feedback to ensure successful implementation
  • Time management on set and oversight of crew, including digital technicians and stylists, when applicable
  • Support manager and lead with maintenance and organization of studio space and equipment
  • Partner with manager to find efficiencies and improvements in workflows and processes
  • Support training of junior staff
  • Scheduling testing opportunities to build upon technical skills
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a product photographer
  • Degree or diploma in photography or related field
  • Knowledge of photographic techniques, such as lighting and composition
  • Ability to work efficiently within deadlines, stay organized, and increase productivity
  • Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Website or portfolio of still-life photography with emphasis on product
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, with emphasis on Adobe Photoshop
  • Well-versed in Mac OS and Microsoft Office
  • Strong ability to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Self-driven and optimistic problem solver who is able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
