We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Monitor Technician to join our team at Catholic Health Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities- Monitor multiple telemetry monitors and report cardiac rhythm changes to nursing and/or physician staff.
- Troubleshoot alarms and adjust as indicated, with consultation of nursing and/or physician staff.
- Remain at the central monitoring station unless otherwise directed by Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, or designee.
- Document cardiac rhythm in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Ensure all patients ordered for a telemetry monitor are on a monitor frequently.
- Perform and document quality control for point-of-care testing.
- Maintain adequate supplies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Paramedic or EMT-CC preferred program or NA/MA with ability to read telemetry monitors.
- Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work.
- Minimum one-year phlebotomy experience.
- Current BLS certification.
$28.35 per hour.
