Accounts Payable Specialist
Join the Royston Plant team as an Accounts Payable Specialist
This position is essential for delivering financial, administrative, and clerical assistance by ensuring that payments are processed accurately, expenses are managed effectively, and invoices are reconciled in accordance with established guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Align purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
- Gather necessary details for processing invoice payments
- Disburse payments to vendors, track discounts, and resolve any discrepancies
- Review employee expense reports
- Calculate and document sales tax on vendor invoices
- Maintain vendor records and documentation
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Address vendor inquiries and concerns
Essential Qualifications:
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong data entry and analytical capabilities
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proven capacity to work efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Experience in accounts payable and general accounting practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant applications
Physical and Additional Requirements:
- Ability to alternate between sitting and standing positions
- Competence in managing financial documents for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and focus for prolonged hours
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to manage tasks effectively under deadlines
- Capability to occasionally lift light objects
