Job Title: Senior Tax Professional

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Professional to join our team. As a Senior Tax Professional, you will be responsible for supporting the Tax Director and Sr. Tax Manager on all aspects of domestic income tax provision, compliance, financial and regulatory reporting, and financial planning and analysis for VNA's regulated utility business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for managing the use tax process for REG, preparing and supporting the Company's GAAP and IFRS income tax provision, and supporting federal and state income tax compliance and provision process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting monthly close process through preparation of the Company's GAAP and IFRS income tax provision and recording of journal entries and other related schedules and analyses.
  • Supporting federal and state income tax compliance and provision process.
  • Preparing and supporting Company's tax provision and related disclosures for annual GAAP and IFRS financial statement audits.
  • Managing the Company's sales and use tax compliance process by working closely with internal and external resources.
  • Facilitating the sales and use tax process through utilizing the Company's sales and use tax engine (ONESOURCE IDT).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other four-year degree with equivalent accounting experience.
  • CPA, MBA or Masters in Tax with accounting experience (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two to five years of accounting and/or corporate tax experience.
  • Good analytical skills, detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Some experience with process improvement, change management and/or optimization of various tax processes.
