Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, operating the MRI scanner, and ensuring the highest quality images for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures, integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
  • Operate the MRI scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and perform quality control measures to ensure optimal quality images.
  • Apply the ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices to ensure patient, visitor, and caregiver safety.
  • Perform other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned consistent with caregivers' scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.
Requirements
  • Accredited school required: Radiologic Technology or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by State for clinical practice.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in MRI preferred.
  • Multi-modality tech strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Demonstrated competency in computer-based programs as they relate to MR applications.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge required; ImageCast/CareCast experience preferred.
  • ARRT (R)(MR) or ARRT (R)(MR)(CT) preferred.
  • Required upon hire: Basic Life Support.
  • Registered with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) required. Must maintain active registry with the State of Oregon.
