Controllers Division Overview:

The Controllers team ensures that the firm adheres to all financial control and reporting requirements of a global, regulated, and publicly traded financial institution. Our professionals assess the profitability and risks associated with every facet of the firm's operations. Additionally, we guarantee that the firm's activities comply with the regulations governing financial market transactions. The Fund Accounting Team within the Controllers Group is seeking to expand its team in Dallas, TX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting packages, which include fund-level net asset valuations and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds.
  • Prepare various ad hoc reporting requests, conduct management fee analyses, cash flow analyses, and support client audits and financial reporting inquiries.
  • Record and manage journal entries related to daily cash transactions, investment activities, currency exchanges, debt payments, fund expenses, and investor contributions and distributions.
  • Handle period-end closing transactions, including mark-to-market valuations, foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other necessary transactions.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Robust accounting background, including experience in journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and account analysis.
  • Proficient in Excel, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing workload to consistently meet deadlines.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; experience in Public Accounting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with debt and equity investments.
  • Experience with private equity funds.
  • Knowledge of partnership accounting.
  • Experience in accounting for foreign currency transactions.
  • General ledger experience.
  • Leadership experience in a team setting.
