Job Title: Fund Accountant

Fund Accountants play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data for private equity fund sponsors. As a Fund Accountant at Gen II Fund Services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services, including the preparation and processing of transactions and financial statements with supporting schedules and work papers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Processing and Bank Reconciliations: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cash transactions and reconcile bank statements to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Record Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
  • Maintain General Ledger: Ensure the general ledger is accurate, complete, and up-to-date, and that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Prepare and Set Up Workpapers and Checklists: Prepare and set up workpapers and checklists to support the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare Financial Statements and Footnotes: Prepare financial statements and footnotes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare Partner Capital Account Information: Prepare partner capital account information to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investor Capital Call/Distribution Processing: Process investor capital calls and distributions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with Client's Independent Auditors: Liaise with the client's independent auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to provide any necessary information or support.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate's experience level.
