About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Umbra.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and test spacecraft hardware and mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine requirements.
  • Develop initial design concepts and physical prototypes.
  • Partner with technicians and manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in aerospace, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronics assemblies, and harnessing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Arduino, or MATLAB.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $95,000 - $150,000 per year.
