Position Summary

This role is essential in enhancing the operational efficiency of the Engineering department while ensuring seamless collaboration across various teams. You will oversee the planning and execution of departmental operations, maintaining a degree of autonomy while adhering to established guidelines and evaluating outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and management of engineering and technology initiatives.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with initial cost estimates.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and integration of new product introductions and requisition projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project milestones.
  • Oversee projects that may be components of larger programs.
  • Directly manage team members, focusing on staffing and performance enhancement.
  • Apply extensive technical knowledge and analytical skills to execute policies and strategies effectively.
  • Understand best practices within the field and how they integrate with other areas; maintain awareness of competitive factors.
  • Utilize judgment to propose innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
  • Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
  • Lead smaller projects with manageable risks and resource needs.
  • Facilitate discussions to achieve consensus among team members.
  • Communicate performance expectations and address sensitive issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Systems or Software engineering.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • This position requires the use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions; only U.S. Citizens may apply.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening process.
