Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at Bareburger. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent guest service, team development, high-quality food, food safety, store cleanliness, and maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement restaurant business plans, including financial, marketing, and sales projections.
  • Meet restaurant financial objectives by preparing strategic forecasts and budgets, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Attract and retain patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public, and community relations programs.
  • Control purchases and inventory by monitoring negotiated prices and contracts, using preferred supplier lists, and reviewing and evaluating usage reports.
  • Maintain operations by adhering to policies and standard operating procedures, implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards, and determining and implementing system improvements.
  • Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings, initiating improvements, and building relationships with preferred patrons.
  • Accomplish restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health and legal regulations, and maintaining security systems.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager.
  • Valid Nassau County DOH certification.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop future leaders.
  • The ability to speak, read, and write at a high level with guests and staff.
  • Be polite, enthusiastic, high-energy, respectful, and hospitable.
  • Knowledge of POS system functions.
  • Gmail Suite experience.
  • Experience with 3rd-party delivery platforms.
  • Process improvement skills.
  • Cost accounting skills.
  • Ability to manage to budgets.
  • Financial planning and strategy skills.
  • Guest recovery skills.
  • Ability to manage profitability.
  • Quality focus.
