Axios Professional Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency in West Michigan, is partnering with a reputable building materials supplier to find a skilled Inventory Control Specialist for their Operations team.

This role involves managing inventory levels, building vendor relationships, and auditing inventory systems. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory levels using the ERP system and conduct physical audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor and maintain safety stock levels, and place purchase orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Refresh and audit inventory replenishment plans to ensure they are aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory levels or shipments.
  • Ensure the organization and maintenance of the shipment yard to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in inventory or supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think independently and use good judgment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems or ERP sales ordering systems.
