About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Non-Profit Audit practice, able to sit in a number of our offices. The ideal candidate thrives in a growing environment and provides clients with exceptional services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing budgets for each engagement
- Running client engagements, including pre-audit planning
- Reviewing client accounting, operating procedures, and systems of internal control
- Conducting audit tests to verify fair representation of client financial statements
- Documenting workpapers and developing accounting worksheets
- Performing research on technical issues
- Reviewing staff-prepared workpapers and programs
- Identifying issues and proposing appropriate solutions
- Keeping manager/partner informed on the status of the job
- Communicating with clients to complete the audit in a timely and efficient manner
- Supervising, training, and mentoring staff during engagement
- Assessing performance of staff for engagement evaluations
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent field is required. 2 years of audit and/or assurance experience, with experience with not-for-profit clients preferred.
Desired QualificationsA CPA or parts passed towards completion, and a Master's degree in Accounting or an equivalent field are desired. We strongly believe in the value of diversity and creating supportive, inclusive environments where our colleagues can succeed.
