Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our Radiology-Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for performing procedures using various isotopes to evaluate pathological entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform procedures using various isotopes for the evaluation of pathological entities.
  • Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, obtain additional information about patient medical history as necessary, and prepare procedure rooms.
  • Prepare prescribed radioactive isotopes for administration to patients and review clinical data on requisitions.
  • Set up equipment and perform Nuclear Medicine scans, manually controlling equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
