Job Summary

Parkland Medical Center is seeking a skilled Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse RN to join our healthcare team. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic and administrative services to patients in support of HCA ethical principles and values.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively to adult patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care, prioritizing tasks and modifying care as needed.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel and provide supervision as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians, utilizing computerized documentation systems to maintain therapeutic relationships.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team, instructing and educating patients and families on age- and culturally-appropriate care.
  • Function as an effective team member and/or charge RN when needed, orienting and mentoring new staff members.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with New Hampshire license or active Compact License.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • CPI certification within 60 days of hire.
  • PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • TNCC within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
