Internship Program:
The Kemper Scholars Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the insurance sector while building valuable professional connections. Interns will engage in impactful projects that contribute to both the company and its clientele. We seek individuals who are eager to tackle challenges and influence real-world outcomes, collaborating with various levels of the organization. This 10-week paid internship encompasses diverse areas such as Product Development, Claims, Operations, Finance, IT, and Data Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Kemper interns will gain exposure to a variety of concepts and experiences, including:
- Supporting the development and enhancement of management information systems.
- Creating advanced reporting tools to facilitate finance and business initiatives.
- Utilizing Excel to establish optimal reporting frameworks.
- Applying financial insights to various projects.
- Gaining familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI and Adaptive.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Junior or Senior enrolled at the University of Illinois - Chicago.
- Majors related to financial services or the insurance industry, such as finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration are preferred.
- Non-business majors with a strong interest in financial services or the insurance sector are also encouraged to apply.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
- This role is hybrid, necessitating in-office attendance 1-2 days per week.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
