Job Summary

Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs computed tomography (CT) procedures to acquire digital images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities
  • Operates CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepares patients for CT procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them for optimal image capture.
  • Administers contrast agents as required for CT procedures.
  • Monitors patients during CT procedures and responds to any adverse reactions.
  • Reviews and interprets CT images to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologist (SNMT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
  • Preferred qualifications include registered technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, two years of experience as a registered computed tomography technologist, experience in trauma/cardiac imaging, and venipuncture competency.
