Job Overview

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is in search of a skilled Machine Operator with a strong background in mechanical assembly to collaborate with a leading client in the machining sector.

Position Summary

Compensation: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday; 6am to 2:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate various processes as dictated by job specifications, including deburring, assembly, sawing, and packaging.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promptly report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
  • Initiate machinery and monitor operational displays to identify any malfunctions.
  • Document and determine machine setups for each component as necessary.
  • Stop machinery to replace cutting tools and adjust setups according to machining sequences or to verify parts against blueprint specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to ensure parts are produced according to work orders and specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and sketches effectively.
  • Conduct inspections of work for all dimensional features and ensure quality and quantity meet company standards.
  • Complete paperwork accurately regarding counts, scrap, and time in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in new setups.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
  • Preferred experience in manual machining.
